Vehicle Detection & Sighting Management
Protect Your Community. Detect Threats Instantly.
AI-Powered Vehicle Intel for Safer Communities
With our app, each of your team members' smartphones becomes a Mobile LPR Camera.
Team members can capture photos of vehicles and instantly see whether their license plates have been flagged, as well as the relevant details. Team Managers can run reports on flagged vehicles and the vehicle details (makes, models, colours, etc.), creating a clear picture of their movements & activities.
Each team has detailed control over their data - they can keep alerts private, or selectively share them with neighbouring teams.

Analytics Dashboard
Comprehensive dashboard with charts and statistics on vehicle sightings and alert effectiveness.

In-App Camera
Mobile app for team members to capture vehicle sightings and see alerts for flagged license plates.

License Plate Management
Advanced AI algorithms scan photos for license plates, vehicle make, model, color, and more.

In-App Alerts
In-app notifications with custom messages when a flagged license plate is detected.
Example Use Case #1: Checking a Single Vehicle
One of your team members on patrol notices suspicious activity and takes a photo of the involved vehicle with the app.
The app shows them an alert indicating why the vehicle is on your alert list, and what to do (e.g. contact someone, don't approach, etc.).
Furthermore, the app records the photo, location, vehicle details, etc. so your team managers can later search for sightings on a map.
Example Use Case #2: Scanning Vehicles on Patrol
Your team members are on patrol with their smartphone mounted to their windscreen, and they set the app in "Scanning Mode".
As they drive around the app continuously checks the license plates of the vehicles around them, and if it encounters a vehicle that has an alert linked to it, the relevant message is displayed on-screen.
Additionally, the flagged vehicle's location is recorded on a map that team managers can see.
Example Use Case #3: Universal Alerts
A team member notices a suspicious vehicle and takes a photo of it with the app.
Even though you don't have an alert for the vehicle within your team, there is a universal alert loaded by a safety organisation, and the app indicates this to the user (e.g., "Linked to poaching near Kimberley, may be armed. Please contact John Doe on 000 000 0000.").
These sightings are made available to the team who created the universal alert.
Example Use Case #4: Historical Sightings
Over a period of time your team members photograph various suspicious vehicles, and drive around with the app in Data Scanning mode to check vehicles around them.
Many of these vehicles don't initially have alerts linked to them, down the line it's determined that a specific vehicle was involved in a crime.
A team member creates an alert for the involved vehicle's license plate, after which the system assists with the investigation by showing team managers where the vehicle was historically seen.

General
Vehicle Detector is a mobile and web-based system designed to help law enforcement, neighborhood watches, security companies, and access control personnel detect and respond to vehicle-related threats. The system allows users to capture vehicle sightings via the mobile app and check them against license plate alerts defined by their Team or the broader community.
When you use the mobile app to capture a photo of a vehicle, the system checks the license plate against a database of alerts. If there's a match, you’ll receive an instant notification. Alerts are kept up to date by syncing every time the app is launched.
The platform is built for safety-conscious users such as:
- Neighborhood watch members
- Security and access control officers
- Law enforcement
- Civilian safety teams
- Private investigators
Anyone involved in community or private safety operations can benefit from the system.
Teams & Privacy
A team is a group of users who share access to private sightings and license plate alerts. Teams can be anything from a neighborhood watch group to a professional security company.
Sightings are private to your team by default. However, if a vehicle has a license plate alert attached by any team, that sighting may be shared as part of alert reporting.
Only administrators can invite or approve new members. This helps keep each team’s data secure and access-controlled.
Only selected users from each team are granted access to the web backend, where they can view reports, manage alerts, and monitor activity.
License Plate Alerts
These are flags attached to specific vehicle license plates that indicate concern, such as suspected criminal activity, stolen vehicles, or other safety threats.
Team members with the appropriate permissions can create alerts. Alerts can be limited to their own team or made visible to all teams on the platform.
Every time the mobile app launches, it automatically downloads the latest license plate alerts to ensure you're always working with the most current data.
Mobile App
The "Vehicle Detector" app is currently in Open Testing on the Android Play Store, here. Alternatively you can download it as an APK file for Android here. The app will be available on the Apple App Store by the end of the year.
Yes. You'll need a valid account linked to a team. To request access, fill in the form at the bottom of this page.
The app requires an internet connection to verify the user's access, sync alerts, and upload sightings. However, there is a setting to only allow photo uploads on Wi-Fi connections.
Pricing & Early Access
We are currently in a soft launch and pricing hasn't been finalized yet, but there will always be a Free Tier with a limited number of users. Access to the Free Tier is limited and will depend on your use case. Early adopters will receive a life-long discounted rate on paid tiers once pricing is introduced.
Simply join during the Open Testing phase and actively use the platform. You can use the form at the bottom of this page to request access.
Data & Security
All data and images captured via the app belong to the service. Data may be shared with law enforcement or other entities at the service’s discretion, see our Terms of Use & Privacy Policy for more information.
Yes. Alerts are private unless explicitly shared, and sightings are only visible to other teams' members if they have a license plate alert for the given sighting's license plate number. Role-based access control ensures only authorized users can view or manage data on the web-based backend of the system. See our Terms of Use & Privacy Policy for more information
